CNN Study: Female Infidelity (and a flashback QU blog)

Ian Kerner, a sexuality counselor and New York Times best-selling author recently did a study on female infidelity for his CNN blogs and it absolutely pegged us. Here is an excerpt that stated the facts:

What are some of the signs that a woman could be cheating or thinking about it?

–         She shows less general interest in her partner’s comings and goings

–         She dresses up for work, but seems to care less about whether her partner finds her attractive

–         She has less interest in sex with her partner

–         She’s keeping an irregular schedule and spending more time at work

–         She seems happy, except when she’s around her partner

–         She shows less tolerance of her partner’s friends and family

–         There are unresolved issues in the relationship that have either been ignored or not resolved in a way that’s satisfying to her

–         She’s in a child-centric marriage that prioritizes parenting and neglects a couple’s relationship, with few opportunities for romance and alone time

The article also mentioned the difference between male and female infidelity stating men do it most of the time for sexual gratification and have no intent to leave home while most women are only driven to cheat when they’ve exhausted all options and are pretty much done. He mentioned there’s an acceptable trend when men cheat so women will try to work it out but men pretty much can’t get over it. Real rap! Peep this:

Helen E. Fisher, research professor of anthropology at Rutgers University, says, “Men want to think women don’t cheat, and women want men to think they don’t cheat, and therefore the sexes have been playing a little psychological game with each other.”

In my opinion, this list is very accurate…. but this list is equally true when it comes to men cheating. If your in a relationship and your gut is telling you somethings for these signs regardless of gender!

  2. Cara Rogers says:

This seems pretty spot on to me, just know that if some of these things are happening (guys) that doesn’t automatically mean she is cheating. Sometimes things get overwhelming or start slipping so talk to your partners and fix things or see a counselor and work on the issues. Otherwise yes these seem to fit for a woman that has exhausted option all though its not excusable.
