239WCLLC at the Lee County Homeless Coalition Stand-down

Where:Broadway Community Church

When:Saturday, November 13 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

Info:The 239WCLLC will be volunteering at the 2010 Lee County Homeless Coalition Stand Down. Stand Downs are one part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ efforts to provide services to homeless veterans.

239WCLLC at C.A.R.E.S. Survivors Stepping Out Walk

Where:Lakes Regional Park

When:Saturday, November 20 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Info:The 239WCLLC will be in FULL EFFECT and supporting the C.A.R.E.S. Suicide Prevention annual Survivors Stepping Out Walk at Lakes Park on November 20th! SEE YOU THERE! Come out and help us “Bring Down The Wall” that keeps suicide in the dark. This event will be filled with outreach, support, education, and healing. Funds raised through the walk will directly benefit the programs C.A.R.E.S. offers, free of charge, to our community!

239WCLLC Rehabbing Homes for Habitat 4 Humanity

Where:Habitat 4 Humanity of Lee County

When:Saturday, November 27 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

Info:YOU MUST BE SIGNED UP BY NOVEMBER 17th AND WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT 13 PPL TOTAL!! CONTACT US ASAP TO JOIN US! The 239 Winners Circle and Habitat for Humanity of Lee County are teaming up to make a positive impact on our community! On Saturday, November 27, 2010 we will be working with Habitat for Humanity of Lee County, so that a deserving family can get into their very own home. Please note there are limited slots available and it is first come, first serve. You will be making a positive impact on the community we call home & getting to work alongside some great people. It’s a win-win for everybody!

239WCLLC CCMI Soup Kitchen Volunteer Assignment

Where:Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc.

When:Saturday, December 4 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

Info:The ((W)) sistas will be at the local soup kitchen helping with food preparation and we need a 10-12 member team! If you’d like to join us, please contact any of the founding 4 and we’ll give you all the info! The Soup Kitchen The Soup Kitchen has been cooking in Fort Myers since 1984. It serves a nutritious lunch six days a week to homeless and at-risk individuals and families, year in and year out.

239WCLLC for the Toy Drive for Dr. Piper Center (NOW THRU DEC. 24th)

Where:Drop off at: Ella Piper Center or the Edison Center

When: Now thru December 24

Info:Your 239WCLLC sistas are collecting toys for the Dr. Ella Piper Center 95th Annual Children’s Christmas Day Party! We are accepting new toys for the children (toys, games, bikes, etc for children 0-15 years old) in the Dunbar community. If you need more info or flyers and bags to collect at your place of employment, or if you need someone to pick up items, please contact us!

239WCLLC Canned Good/Food Drive (NOW THRU JAN. 2011)

Where:Drop off at: Ella Piper Center or the Edison Center

When: Now thru January 2, 2011

Info:Your 239WCLLC sistas are collecting non-perishable food items and canned goods for the Senior Grandparents at the Dr. Piper Center! If you need more info or flyers and bags to collect at your place of employment, or if you need someone to pick up items, please contact us!

When:Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Info:The 239WCLLC will be volunteering at the Harry Chapin center on January 8, 2011 and need a group of 10-15 people wanting to help out! If you are interested, please contact us and we will add you to our master list and forward necessary documents & rules to you! ♥
